Sahara

One day the teachers came to tell us about some things happening in the Sahara, the teachers told us that the people there had to walk several kilometers to obtain water, that their houses practically were of cardboard (some of mud). that's why the teachers proposed us to do a thing: to help them, how to do it? by giving them an oil kilo, a rice kilo and also a sugar kilo.

Only this little contribution, simply that, already is an aid.

my Eastern holidays

In my Eastern holidays I traveled to Italy (as I use to do last years).
even if we are going three times in a year to Italy I spend a nice time, and I really enjoy.
I went with my parents and I spent one week there, the small town where I have got a house is called Latera, it is near Viterbo, a city in the center of Italy.
This time I went to visit a town called Caprarola where it was filmed the famous movie: The Borgia, I visited its enormous gardens, its extensive rooms.
I also ate in a restaurant where they place pizzas in two plates as big as they are. ( you can see it in the above photo).

I don't know how to begin … in fact, Maria, there aren't words to describe this tragedy.
It happened in April 2007. Cho Seung Hui, a young student of Blacksburg University (Virginia), decided in one usual day to kill. He thought everybody was against him, and nobody wanted to him and that's why its rage was mainly adressed towards his university companions.
the police found a letter where you could read: “you have forced to me to do it”.
That boy killed 32 pupils, 32 persons!!! I hope this murder is going to make a lot of people to reflect much people and I hope they will do something to improve the world.

San Valentine

The Day of San Valentine is a traditional celebration in which the boyfriends, enamored or spouses express their love.
In many countries the " Enamored Day" ones is called to him. This celebration is celebrated the 14 of February and from century XIX the postal interchange was introduced.

Our earth receives most of it’s energy, called radiation, from the sun. This energy is electromagnetic radiation with a small amounts of IR and UV radiation.

the earth's surface absorbs the solar energy and releases it back to the atmosphere as infrared radiation, some of which goes back to the space

O.v. Project

Maria (our English teacher) encouraged us to do a researching work about cinema in original version; we saw a film, in the cinema, in original version and later we worked together in groups in order to write all the information we found about the film in power point . We can consult any question through our English teacher webquest in www.wapu2.org page

What Maria is trying to teach to us with these works is to mention sources and also to Know how and where to research, then she decided to register us in a competition where we could inscribe our works, and where exactly we could mention sources.

This competition was sponsored by Cedro that sometimes supports our work with material.

Edublogs and our Prizes

The first concourse of edublogs of the university of Valencia has taken place some days ago, and fortunately we, Escuela 2, have won the first prize.
The past 18th of December we went to "paraninfo" of the university of Valencia where they gave the prize to us and a companion (Madda) gave gratefulness from our part and accepted in the name of all of us, the usefull backbags they gave to everyone. Maria (our English teacher) also intervened to greet the director and to give her gratefulness.
the prize that we received was 1000€ that should be used to buy electrical slates for two courses of the E.S.O.
We are trully very happy and this is going to be a day that we will never forget.

Xmas in other countries or religions

Hanukkah:
This celebration is in December. The use of the light in this celebration is in memory of a legend, the celebration lasts eight days, igniting every night a light in a lamp (hanukiyá) that contains eight spaces plus one to help, until in the eighth night they appear all illuminated. The lamp has to be placed in a visible place, near a window or in front of the door, to indicate the people with this light there is a Jewish home.

China:

Christmas in China are celebrated illuminating the houses with paper lanterns and decorated trees called “Trees of Lights”, with chains and flowers . The Chinese children hang socks and wait for the visit of Santa Claus to whom they call Dun Che Lao Ren what means “old man of Christmas”.

Xmas in Spain

Christmas holidays in Spain begin 22th December, but Christmas day is 25th, in that day the families meet in order to show and share the gifts that one night before Papá Noel (Santa Claus) bring to them.

we call that night "Noche buena" and we amused a lot seeing the faces of happiness of the moved children waiting for Santa Claus.

After all the gifts, arrives New Year's Eve, the last night of the year,a night where, like every year, at 12: oo P.M. we seat in front of the television set and with each ring of the bell from the clock we took a grape and then, celebration with the friends!

When it is already New Year the gifts have not yet finished because in Spain we have three men (Melchor, Gaspar and Balthasar) that on 6th January still bring gifts to us, these men are the magicians , who use to come mounted in camels, and with them we say goodbye to Christmas in Spain.

On the left there is my brother James we are in an island all flood of bungalows, we are in the bungalow number seven.

it needed vacations, the work tires very much. One day we were walking by the beach and we meet NICOLE KIDMAN!!! is very simpatyc.

MOZAMBIQUE

The other day our professor Maria came to class with a letter for us from mozambique
we liked very much, they we made by far affection.
We decided to answer to them, we would send the letter to him by email to Maria and she would be sent it to Mozambique.
In my letter it put things about her family, her school, her city, her pleasures…
All the class wanted to send a small gifts to them and our professor accepted, I sent bracelets to him, 2 necklaces, currencies of Spain…
I hope that they answer to us!!!

MY SUMMER

ENGLAND
This summer I went to bournemouth a little village in the south of England. This trip I did it with 45 Valencian young people, we lodged in a called residence snt. michel. Every day we went away in the morning to give four hours of English and in the evening they let to us do what we wanted.
I like very much and I learned much English.

BRUSSELS
Fifteen day later more or less i went to Brussels, but now with Paola a friend of the childhood. this time I did not go to any residence I was in house of a friend of Paola where we were very well and all the afternoons after the school we went away to visit Brussels with our teacher.

I GREATER

When it has years more I want to study medicine.
If profit to finish the medicine race I will make the MIR that is for choosing a specialty. My mother (who is nurse) said a few specialties to me to choose,those that I more like of that she said to me are: endocrinology, cardiology and dermatology, it is very difficult what I choose but I am going to try it, the note of the selectivity must be very high.
