"PALIO DAY" IN SIENA

It is a recreation about an old renacentist party.basically there is a horse's race preceded by a long procession where every "logia"shous it's flag, it's horses it's own dresses; there are nine groups of them: Civetta, Torres, Giraffa, Onda, Lupa, Chiocciola, Istrice, Valdimonte and Leocorno.Normaly the ceremony starts at 5:00 pm o'clock with the procession. We arrived to Siena at 12:00 am. The first problem was parking the car, the city was completely full of turists. Fortunatelly we get a place in "San Francesco" park.After eating something. We went to "piazza del campo" were we arrived at 2:00 o'clock it was really hot. We waited for three hours the procession and then 2 more hours for the races tobegin. By the way La Torre tresuming too hard but it is worth.

MOUVIES ROUTE IN TOSCANA

Yesterday we went for a little route through to nice villages where were filmed two of most recents populars films: La Vita e Bella and Under the Tuscan Sun. Aretzo and Cortona respectivelly.in fact in Aretzo there are diferents posters around the village in order to guite you throug the filmation route, from the "Piazza grande"(where Roberto Benigniin the film was in trouble driving a bycicle caused by the inclination in the piazza grande. Cortona was also very nice with it's mounting and descending streets. by the way we realiced that the fountaind you can see in the film, Under the Tuscan Sun, where one of the characters in the film imitate the "Dolce Vita" bath doesn't really exisy.
